We sharpen all carbide tipped saws, groover's, hoggers and dado sets as well as standard or custom blades that are
up to 30 inches in diameter. Listed below is our five-step sharpening process:
1.) The saw is cleaned and inspected to determine the level of repair work it needs.
2.) The saw is given new tips, if needed. The new tips are brazed on with high strength silver alloys and precisely
ground to match the existing tips.
3.) The power roller tension machine is used to get an exact uniform tension. We use the finest tension and
inspection machines in the state.
4.) The teeth on the top and the face of the blade are sharpened using the 8 CNC and numerical controlled
automatic saw grinding machine.
5.) The blade is cleaned, polished and given a final inspection. After the final inspection, the blade is coated with oil
to prevent rust and each blade tip is dipped into a wax compound to assure the blade's safety during shipping.

Tool and Saw Blade Retipping:
No matter the original manufacturer, we can retip most carbide tipped tooling or saw blades. To ensure your tool or
saw blade performs better, or like new, we will acutely restore your tooling to its original specifications and
geometry. Please note that we keep all CAD drawings on file for accuracy and repeat orders.
For each tool we retip, we supply you with a C.A.D drawing of your tool. After the tool is retipped, it is cleaned,
polished, and given a final inspection before we coat the tips in wax to protect the tool during shipping.
Saw Blade Retip:
For each saw we retip, we first determine if the saw blade can be retipped or if it would be more cost effective for
the customer to replace the saw blade. Then, we follow a six-step process:
1.) First, If it is acceptable to retip the saw blade we remove what was left of the carbide tips.
2.) The pockets and gullets are re-cut.
3.) The new tips are brazed on with high strength silver alloys. We check the saw for proper tension and
straightness using the finest automatic tension and testing machine in Wisconsin.
4.) The power roller tension machine is used to achieve exact and uniform tension.
5.) The teeth are ground to their original specifications and geometry, using our 8 axis CNC grinder and 4
numerical controlled grinders.
6.) The saw blade is cleaned, polished, and inspected before we coat the saw blade in oil and wax to protect the
blade during shipping.

Specialty Tools and Custom Designs:
We can cater to your custom tooling needs for reasonable cost and with a minimum amount of lead time. All custom
tools are ground on a CNC profile grinder; the CNC profile grinder ensures precision and accuracy. First, for both
custom tools and custom saw blades, an electronic scanner is used to input your profile into our CAD system. Then,
we will supply you with the CAD drawing before manufacturing begins. Please note that we keep all CNC and CAD
documents on file to insure accuracy for repeat orders.
Custom Saw Blade:
There is a high variety of materials as well as different machine Manufactures in today's industry. So, it is not
uncommon for our customers to request a custom carbide tipped saw blade to meet their specific sawing
application. Unlike other shops, we have all of the resources on site that are needed to manufacture custom carbide
tipped saw blades. By having all of the resources on site, we are able to maintain the highest quality product from
start to finish as well as have several quality control checks during the manufacturing process.
All of our custom saw blades start with the highest quality German steels. Sizes range from 2 inches to 36 inches in
diameter. Listed below is the eight-step custom saw blade process:
1.) The blade is inspected for defects in finish, straightness, and tension. It is run out before we begin the
2.) The proper grade of carbide is selected.
3.) The carbide tips are brazed to the steel body by using high stength silver alloys.
4.) The saw blade is sand blasted and polished.
5.) The saw blade is inspected, again, for proper tension and straightness. This is to make sure the integrity of the
steel was not compromised when the saw blade was heated during brazing.
6.) The teeth are ground on the CNC grinder to the exact geometry for the custom design.
7.) The blade is etched with a serial number. When the saw blade returns for serivice, we use the serial number to
identify the saw blade and are able to recondition the saw back to original geometry and tolerances.
8.) The blade is inspected, cleaned, polished, and lightly oiled. Finally, the teeth are coated in a wax compound to
protect it during shipping.
